Administrative Assistant

Hobbs+Black Architects is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant.  Duties include greeting visitors, answering multi-line phone, data entry, typing, filing, mailing and shipping, coordinating meetings, travel and event planning, maintaining supplies and placing supply orders, and basic office equipment maintenance.  Qualified candidates will possess a professional manner and appearance with excellent verbal communication skills.  This position will interact with our associates as well as our clients; poise and composure are essential.  Must be detail oriented with some writing experience and the ability to excel in a fast paced team environment.  Previous administrative experience with knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is required.  Hobbs+Black offers a competitive salary and benefits, along with a dynamic working environment with talented and energetic colleagues.

LANSING, MI:

Project Assistant

Hobbs+Black Architects has an immediate opening for a Project Assistant in its Lansing office to assist on a broad range of architectural projects, including both new construction and renovation. Candidates must be motivated, and able to work in a team environment. 

Qualified candidates will have an associate or bachelor degree of architecture, or related field, with 3 - 5 years experience in an architectural practice; candidates with an equivalent amount of work experience will be considered. Knowledge and technical proficiency using architectural drafting, modeling and rendering software, such as AutoCAD and Revit is required, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Google Sketch-Up proficiency desired.
