James O’Neil Medical Center Clarkston Medical Group Ambulatory Care Center Southfield, Michigan Clarkston
Medical Group has long been the recognized medical practice group in the Clarkston, Michigan
region. As growing, combined practice, the group provides diagnostics and treatment in
virtually all medical specialties. Continuing growth in northern Oakland County has
sustained growth on the medical practice group, exceeding the space of present quarters. Clarkston
Medical Group has acquired a 10-acre parcel located on Sashabaw Road in Independence
Township for development of a new Ambulatory Care Center. The site is at the entrance
of the proposed 80-acre McLaren Hospital campus. The new Clarkston Medical Group facility
will form the gateway to this campus. Providing
for leading care, the new facility features a major diagnostics practice clinic,
diagnostic imaging, urgent care, ambulatory surgery, sleep studies and medical practice
space in a three story facility, containing 132,000 square feet. Architecture
for the new Center embraces the community development vision of a village and draws from
the architecture of historic precedents. The facility is constructed of brick and stone,
set in a university style motif with large, expansive bay windows and trellises’. The
design theme carries to the inside of the building where a large day lit atrium provides
a setting of strength, permanence and healing.
