Hobbs+Black Architects Celebrates 10 Years in Arizona
Recently Hobbs Black Architects celebrated a 10 year milestone at the Phoenix, Arizona office. The Phoenix office was established in 2007 and has grown into a medium sized architectural office that has worked on some landmark Arizona building projects. The very first design project completed by this office was the MRI Expansion at the Mayo Clinic Hospital.
The Hobbs+Black Phoenix office has had the privilege of working on the design of a wide range of architectural building typologies in Southwest region. The healthcare studio recently completed the renovation and expansion to the Tucson Medical Center for Women. Currently under construction, is the new Phoenix Children’s Hospital Emergency/ Lab/ Hematology-Oncology Expansion which should be completed in late 2017. (Photo below)

The Phoenix office senior living studio has completed several new assisted living and memory care centers in the state of Arizona including the new Santé of Tucson, Santé of Westgate and Santé of Scottsdale.
In addition to the numerous healthcare based and senior living projects, the office has been able to work on civic/community based design as well. Always community supporters, many employees of the office have participated in fundraisers for multiple charitable causes in the local community. From 5K Color Runs, to being a volunteer and to participating in silent auctions at special galas, the Phoenix team has always found ways to give back!
On Thursday, April 27th, the office celebrated the ten year milestone with friends, past and present clients, fellow visiting co-workers from Michigan and consultants at the Scottsdale Marriott Suites Old Town- on the lovely outdoor patio on a beautiful Arizona evening. Included at the celebration were drinks, appetizers, music and some custom Hobbs+Black Architects orange notebook giveaways. Thank you to all who carefully planned the event. And THANK YOU to all who attended the celebration of architectural and business accomplishment. Here's looking to the continued growth of the office and to 10 more years!
