Career Chat with Women in Commercial Real Estate Recap

CREW Detroit’s Outreach Committee recently hosted a UCREW event for students in the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Ross School of Business, and members of the U-M Real Estate Club. 

The "Career Chat with Women in Commercial Real Estate (CREW)" featured a prominent lineup of speakers including keynote Donna Inch, former Chairman and CEO of Ford Land, followed by a panel discussion including Hobbs+Black's Vice President and Director of Business Development Betsy Wagner.

"I was honored to be part of this exciting event to encourage women student’s to get involved in Commercial Real estate," said Wagner.

The event created an opportunity for students to network with female executives in real estate. CREW Detroit members and Ross School students were encouraged to attend to take part in networking and gain career advice.

Wagner added, "The event was well attended, and a lot of fun. I was inspired by our Donna Inch and all of the women on the panel who gave some amazing advice on getting into commercial Real estate and the many facets of the industry." 

Fellow panel participants discussing the, "Path to Success; How to Map your Route" included Nicole Blocker (The Brinker Group), Heather Olson (Miller Canfield),  Lauren Leach (Conway MacKenzie), Barbara Eaton (Redico), Rachele Downs (Dandelion), and moderator Mary Anne Wilson (Staples Business Advantage).
