Hobbs+Black Architects was honored to receive three awards at the AIA Mid-Michigan 2017 Honor Awards ceremony held on Friday, November 3 at the Urban Event Center in Lansing, MI.
Congratulations to our entire team on the Northville Health Center for being honored as one of CAM Magazine's 12 outstanding construction projects!
...John Barker, executive vice president of Hobbs & Black Architects, sums up the whole project by saying, "This team led by David Johns at Schostak Brothers & Company, the University of Michigan's AEC department, David Williams and Jim Chernosky of the Auch Company, along with Tom Dillenbeck of Hobbs & Black, worked together as one entity to deliver the highest quality building available as a response to the University's needs and within the strict budget available. The efforts of the Auch Company to provide instant estimating throughout the process were only bettered by an amazing quality of construction. Their contribution provided all team members with much pride of ownership in the project."
We are proud to announce that Hobbs+Black received an Honor Award at the AIA Huron Valley Honor Awards Ceremony for our work on the Outdoor Adventure Center. Our team transformed the 150 year old Globe Building into a year round Outdoor Adventure Center for the Michigan DNR.
We would also like to congratulate Hobbs+Black's co-founder and our leader, Mr. William Hobbs, on his Firm Founder Recognition as well as for the Fifty Years-Plus Recognition of the firm he started with Richard Black in 1965. Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment!
Today, the Northville Health Center was awarded the 2014 Build Michigan Award in the Construction Management category. The Build Michigan Award was established in 1995 by the Professional Service Provider Member Council of the AGC of Michigan as a way to recognize the excellence of an entire project team. Way to go team!
