As head of the Hobbs+Black Retail and Mixed-Use Studio, Wayne has proven himself to be invaluable to the development of large-scale projects such as the City Creek Center in Utah and The Mall of San Juan in Puerto Rico. In addition to his extensive retail portfolio, he has vast experience in large, complex mixed-use and office developments throughout the country. Wayne serves as Project Director, overseeing the project manager and all project team members throughout the entire process. This role is particularly fitting due to his unique, very specific expertise to ensure overall quality, schedule, and costs. He has mastered working with local jurisdictions to navigate complicated entitlement and permitting processes, often serving as client liaison with city staff.
Wayne is also actively involved in his local community as a Planning Commissioner for the City of South Lyon and as the President of the Huron Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
