WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
Located on the entry into West Palm, and welcoming visitors as a key component to the City Place mixed-use development, the four-story, 80,000-square-foot design gallery blurs the lines between residential and retail, indoor and outdoor, and home and hospitality.
When approached from the west, two semi circular fountains invite guests into the estate gardens with a lush landscaping, water features, and shading trellises. The gardens and several terraces showcase collections of RH Outdoors and provide a visual progression toward the building. Large folding partitions open fully, further hiding the threshold between interior and exterior and allow a view throughout the entire building. Terminating the east west visual axis, the water wall creates an ever changing canvas and provides some visual buffering from the parking area. From there, one may contemplate the striking mural installation by the contemporary artist RETNA.
With natural light permeating from above, the grand stair connects the four levels where RH collections are on display and where guests can interact with professional designers in the Design Atelier. Once on the top level, guests can enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine while seating in the wine vaults with groin vault ceilings. The dramatic sky-lit rooftop restaurant seats 100 guests and is laid out around a 12-foot circular fountain adorned with a crystal chandelier. Since the opening of the Gallery, the restaurant has become a destination where guests may take in the vista of the palm tree lined Okeechobee Boulevard while dining.
