Tucson Medical Center for Women

Tucson, arizona

For over 80 years, Tucson Medical Center has been the leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the greater Tucson and Southern Arizona region. The hospital is widely known for a number of specialties including women’s health. As part of the master facility program for the hospital campus, the TMC for Women program provides for a major expansion to and renovation of the existing service. The program is constructed on a multi-year/phased approach based on the need to keep services operational supporting high patient volumes.  The architecture carries on the established theme of re-branding the TMC campus with stone, glass and copper reflective of the hospital’s commitment to the community. The interiors carry a theme of concierge care; a warm, inviting and caring center for women’s health. The multi-phase program provides for expansion and renovation of:

  • Mother/Baby Nursing Units

  • Birthing Services/Labor & Delivery

  • Women’s Surgical Center

  • Women’s Clinical Exam Center

  • New Southeast Main Hospital Entrance

  • Southeast Campus Infrastructure Improvements
