For over 80 years Tucson Medical Center has been the leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to greater Tucson and the Southern Arizona region.  The hospital is widely known for a number of specialties including Cardiology, Women’s and Children’s Health and Emergency and Critical Care.  Tucson Medical Center provides emergency and critical care services to more than 100,000 patients annually.  Tucson Medical Center has grown to encompass more than 1,000,000 square feet of facilities within its 120 acre midtown location.  The primary hospital building is a single story constructed as a series of districts, surrounding a series of 28 courtyards.  This setting provides for a patient experience of quality and compassion, unique to today’s healthcare environment.

Tucson Medical Center is positioning itself to be the leader in Children’s and Women’s services for the next generation and continuing its long tradition of service to the families of Tucson.  A comprehensive Master Plan has been developed to program and plan the necessary elements that will continue to make Tucson the leader and choice hospital in Southern Arizona. The Master Plan calls for a four phased Women’s and Children’s Health Project.
