Architectural CAD / BIM Technician 

We are seeking an experienced Architectural CAD / BIM Technician to join the Hobbs+Black team. 

The Architectural CAD / BIM Technician will be technically proficient in 2D and 3D modeling software. This position will be responsible for the creation and development of architectural drawings for construction for a broad range of architectural projects. Post-graduate technical architectural work experience is required.   


Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with project team, consultants, and clients. 

  • Prepare complex architectural construction drawings for new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects. 

  • Maintain project schedules, cost projections, and budget estimates. 

  • Conduct site planning and zoning research. 

  • Attend planning and zoning, and/or municipal meetings. 

  • Develop technical solutions for projects. 

  • Develop and draft architectural plans and details. 

  • Preparation of bid packages. 

  • Perform construction administration tasks, including submittal review, fieldwork, and documentation.

Education and Qualifications

  • Skilled technical proficiency in Revit. 

  • Technical proficiency in Architectural CAD. 

  • Technical problem-solving skills. 

  • Proficient in building codes and ADA requirements.

  • Must be organized and detailed oriented with time management skills sufficient to meet project deadlines.
